Krishna bounded by the love of mother Yashodha

Once Yashodha feeding milk to Krishna, she was taking pleasure of her child’s face. Suddenly the milk in the kitchen began to boil over, so she kept Krishna aside and left immediately.

Krishna became furious and broke the butter pot and left the place fearing punishment. Meanwhile he noticed her mother coming towards him with a stick in her hand.

Krishna quickly got down from grinding mortar and began to runaway in fear. Somehow mother Yashodha chased him and captured her naughty child.

She decided to tie his hands with some ropes, but she is not aware that it is impossible to bind him. Yashodha tried to tie him to a wooden grinding mortar, the rope she was using appeared to be short by two inches. She gathered some more ropes from house and added to it but still she found the same shortage.

Mother Yashodha astonished and thinking how it is happening? Finally, she got tired then Lord Krishna appreciated the hard labor of his mother and being compassionate upon her, allowed himself to bound by her ropes.

Here the two inches signifies: “1) Devotee’s Endeavour and 2) Krishna’s Mercy”
